Ready to stop dabbling? Dabbling is fine (and it's a really fun word to say, don't you think?). But every once in awhile you need to get serious about your passion – and that's exactly why we've JUST RELEASED a brand-new 25-gallon whiskey still.

Made from 1.5 mm sheets of copper and able to produce as much as 5 gallons of whiskey in each run, this copper still is a true workhorse – and an exceptionally beautiful workhorse at that.

It's perfect for anyone who's ever dabbled in whiskey production and wants to take their operation to the next level – or if you're the kind of person that likes to commit whole-heartedly to your endeavors at the outset and skip the whole "give it a try"  stage!

As with all our stills, this one comes with a complete guide to home distilling, including a recipe to get you started. As you'll quickly discover it's really not much more work at all to use a 25-gallon still versus a 5-gallon version – so why not get more whiskey for your work with the larger one?

Remember, distilling any spirits takes a bit of time. So why not maximize that time by getting the equipment that will let you produce up to 5 gallons of whiskey at a time? Check our FAQs section regarding local distilling regulations, of course.  As with all our stills, It's a great tool to have on hand for creating gifts, being the hit at the next party you go to, or giving you enough whiskey to drink right away and plenty more to age.

Why Copper?

The use of copper lends qualities to your whiskey and moonshine on the molecular level that other metals just can't match. Sulfur and sulfides are a product of fermentation and are unavoidable. These can carry over into your product and give it a bad taste and nasty hangover. Enter copper. There’s some fancy chemistry that helps convert and binds this devil to the still itself, preventing it from being carried off with your product. This is then removed when you periodically clean your still.

Why Curves?

With our Pot Belly and Onion Head, it’s all about the curves. When you can free yourself from using rigid lines (like cylinders and cones) you can really manipulate the surface area of your still and therefore increase purity and flavor of your product. It also makes the process faster and more efficient. It’s just a lot harder to make a curved still. But we know it’s worth the time and the best distilleries in the world agree. You won’t find straight lines in the top shelf Scotch distilleries. You will find curves. Shapely stills. Because they know, like we know, it’s the best design.
